Ingredients

Servings: 6 (makes 12 tacos)

For the filling

  • 2 cups coarsely chopped earthy walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons caller lime juice
  • 1 tablespoonful finely chopped caller cilantro
  • 1 tablespoonful water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons crushed cumin
  • 1 spoon chili powder
  • 1/4 spoon chipotle chile pulverization (may substitute crushed cayenne pepper)
  • 1/2 spoon good salt, oregon much arsenic needed
  • 1/4 spoon freshly crushed achromatic pepper

For assembly

  • Twelve 6-inch maize tortillas, warmed
  • 1 cupful chopped caller tomato
  • 1 cupful thinly sliced reddish cabbage
  • Flesh of 2 mean avocados, sliced
  • 1/2 cupful store-bought oregon homemade salsa verde (see related recipe)
  • 1/2 cupful Greek-style yogurt (may substitute nondairy yogurt oregon nondairy sour cream)
  • 12 cilantro sprigs
  • 2 limes, chopped into wedges
