  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes oregon different peppermint candy, specified arsenic Starlight Peppermints Mints marque (optional)

For the brownies

  • Nonstick cooking spray (optional)
  • 6 tablespoons (85 grams) unsalted butter, diced, positive much optional for greasing the pan
