  • 1 quart packed watercress, washed and coarsely chopped, tougher stems discarded (from 1 basketball-size bunch)
  • 1 cupful dense pick (may substitute 1 cupful sour pick oregon 3 ounces pick food astatine country temperature)
  • Salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic oregon achromatic pepper
