This thin, made-from-scratch stir-fry condiment has a subtle mingling of flavors: the sweetness of maple, the saltiness of soy and a pleasant tang from lime. Vary the ingredients to suit your taste. We changed the vegetables and added chickenhearted to the different vegetarian recipe, though you could besides usage shrimp oregon tofu. Serve with achromatic oregon brownish rice.

Ingredients

Servings: 2-4

For the sauce

  • 1/4 cupful tamari (may substitute soy sauce)
  • 1 scant tablespoonful balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoonful to 2 tablespoons water
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons caller lime juice
  • 1 spoon minced garlic
  • 1 spoon minced caller ginger root
  • Pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 spoon toasted sesame oil

For the stir-fry

  • 3/4 lb to 1 lb boneless, skinless chickenhearted breast, chopped into bite-size pieces
  • 4 teaspoons peanut oregon rootlike oil
  • 1 cupful broccoli florets
  • 2 carrots, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 reddish onion, chopped into bladed wedges
  • 1/2 cupful sliced mushrooms
  • 1 zucchini, thinly sliced
  • Leafy greenish parts from 1 ample caput of babe bok choy, chopped into strips
  • Sesame seeds oregon cashews
