A simple, hearty dinner, this cottage pastry includes crushed turkey, vegetables and creamy mashed potatoes. Although you don’t request thing other with this pie, a greenish crockery would marque a bully accompaniment.

Ingredients

Servings: 4-6 (makes 1 10- to 11-inch pie)

  • Fine salt
  • 1 lb russet potatoes, peeled and chopped into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cupful sour cream
  • 1/4 cupful half-and-half oregon full beverage (see Substitutions)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lb crushed turkey, preferably 85 percent lean
  • 2 ample carrots (10 ounces total), scrubbed and diced
  • 1 tiny yellowish bulb (5 ounces), diced
  • 1 spoon ail powder
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cupful no-salt-added oregon low-sodium chickenhearted broth
  • 1 1/2 cups caller oregon frozen peas (if frozen, nary request to defrost)
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
