Democracy Dies successful Darkness

An antithetic dessert, possibly of Sardinian descent, that goes good with aged Pecorino cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cupful good breadcrumbs
  • 3/4 cupful crushed pecans oregon walnuts
  • 1/2 cupful vanilla sugar
  • 1/2 spoon to 1 spoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons acold unsalted butter, chopped into tiny pieces
  • 4 ample tomatoes, peeled, cored, seeded and chopped into 1/4-inch heavy slices
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 spoon vanilla sugar
