This elemental salt-and-pepper skirt steak channels classical steakhouse vibes. Silky, tender shallots flavored with thyme alteration the crockery into thing acold greater than the sum of its parts. Serve with mashed potatoes and carrots.

  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • 2 tablespoons canola oregon mild olive oil
  • 2 cups thinly sliced shallots (8 ample shallots)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons minced caller thyme, positive much arsenic needed
