Spaniards traditionally person eaten sardines topped with minced bulb oregon garlic. Peruvians added their ain touches -- blistery peppers and citrus foodstuff -- and came up with this version. The tomatoes adhd a refreshing note.

Ingredients

  • Two 4.5-ounce cans sardines (preferably packed successful olive oil), drained
  • 1 tiny onion, finely chopped (about 1/2 cup), rinsed with blistery h2o and drained
  • 1 mean jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed citrus juice
  • 1/4 spoon salt
  • 1/8 spoon crushed cumin
  • 1/4 spoon freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • Lettuce leaves
  • 1 tiny ripe but steadfast herb (about 3 ounces), seeded and diced
