This healthful crockery gets its easiness from canned salmon. Once the lentils are cooked until tender and cooled, the remainder of the ingredients travel unneurotic successful conscionable minutes, including a flavorful vinaigrette.

For the lentils

  • 1 cupful (7 ounces) brownish lentils
  • 1/2 cupful chopped reddish onion
  • 1 bay leaf

  • 2 cloves garlic, grated oregon minced (about 2 teaspoons)
  • 1/4 spoon good salt, positive much to taste
  • 1/4 cupful extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons reddish vino vinegar
  • 3/4 spoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 spoon saccharine paprika
  • 1/2 spoon crushed pepper, positive much to taste

For the salad

  • 15 ounces canned salmon, drained, oregon 15-ounce cooked salmon fillet
  • 1/4 cupful thinly sliced reddish onion
  • 1 cupful diced carrot (about 1 ample carrot)
  • 4 citrus wedges, for serving (optional)
