Embrace the casserole-esque "mush" of tender lentils and tender-tangy dark-meat chicken, roasted with much spirit due to the fact that it's connected the bone.

Serve with greenish beans.

Ingredients

  • 1 ample onion
  • 2-inch portion caller ginger root
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 1/2 cups dried reddish lentils
  • 1 14.5- oregon 15-ounce tin low-fat coconut beverage (see Notes)
  • 1 1/2 cups no-salt-added oregon homemade chickenhearted broth
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • About 2 pounds bone-in chickenhearted thighs
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
  • 1/4 cupful plain yogurt (full-fat oregon low-fat)
  • 1 spoon crushed cumin
  • 3 tomatoes from 1 14.5-ounce tin full peeled tomatoes
  • Lemon, for serving
