Despite its name, this speedy breadstuff is lone somewhat saccharine and rich-tasting. The loaf has a choky crumb, which makes it particularly bully for toasting and topping with pick cheese.

Ingredients

Servings: 12 (makes 1 9-inch loaf)

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 2 cups (250 grams) whole-wheat flour
  • 1/2 cupful (70 grams) breadstuff flour (may substitute all-purpose flour)
  • 1 spoon baking powder
  • 1 spoon baking soda
  • 1/2 spoon good salt
  • 1/4 cupful (60 milliliters) sunflower oil
  • 1/4 cupful (60 milliliters) honey
  • 1/4 cupful (60 milliliters) molasses
  • 1 1/2 cups (360 milliliters) buttermilk (regular oregon low-fat)
