A invited alternate to the emblematic rib-sticking greenish legume casserole, this rootlike crockery is agleam with citrus and softly crunchy with sesame seeds, besides called benne seeds successful the South. There’s spark, too, acknowledgment to crushed reddish capsicum flakes.

  • 2 pounds greenish beans, stemmed but not trimmed
  • 2 ail cloves, minced oregon finely grated
  • 1/4 cupful extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cupful (1 1/4 ounces) toasted sesame seeds (see Where to bargain and Notes)
  • 2 tablespoons caller citrus foodstuff (from 1 lemon)
  • 1 spoon crushed reddish capsicum flakes, positive much to taste
  • Fine salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
