Thai basil, Thai chiles, crushed peanuts and caller mint spark this savory, refreshing salad.

Ingredients

  • 1 Thai chile pepper, minced (seeded if desired)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cupful caller lime foodstuff (from 2 limes)
  • 2 tablespoons food sauce
  • 1 tablespoonful rootlike oil
  • 1 tablespoonful airy brownish sugar
  • 1 mean shallot, thinly sliced (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 lb peeled seedless watermelon, chopped into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks (about 3 cups)
  • Flesh of 1 ripe mango, chopped into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks (about 1 cup)
  • 2 mean peaches, pitted and chopped into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks oregon bladed wedges (about 2 cups)
  • 1 mean cucumber, peeled, seeded and chopped into 1/4-inch-thick matchsticks (about 1 1/4 cups)
  • 1/2 cupful caller Thai basil leaves
  • 1/2 cupful caller mint leaves
  • 1/2 cupful chopped, dry-roasted unsalted peanuts, for garnish
