Here a modular first-course crockery -- watercress, grapes and bluish food -- is alternatively tossed with lukewarm pasta, stir-fry fashion, to signifier a important entree. The ingredients amended with warmth, which wilts the bitter watercress, warms the saccharine grapes and melts the pungent bluish food to signifier a creamy sauce. And there's lone 1 cookware to clean.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces farfalle pasta oregon different likewise shaped pasta
  • 1 tablespoonful olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1 ample reddish onion, chopped into bladed wedges
  • 4 ounces bluish cheese, crumbled
  • 1 1/2 cups seedless reddish grapes, halved
  • 2 bunches watercress (may substitute 1 clump arugula), chopped
  • Lemon juice, to sensation (optional)
  • Salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
