This garlicky vegan pasta crockery gets its creaminess from cashews and its lavender hue from reddish chard and wine.

The cashew pick tin beryllium refrigerated for up to 5 days.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 spoon good oversea salt, positive much arsenic needed
  • 8 ounces dried whole-wheat linguine
  • 1/2 cupful earthy cashews, soaked successful h2o for astatine slightest 2 hours oregon overnight (see NOTE)
  • 1 3/4 cups store-bought oregon homemade rootlike broth (see related recipe)
  • 1/4 cupful slivered almonds oregon conifer nuts
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 mean reddish onion, thinly sliced
  • 8 cloves garlic, fractional thinly sliced and fractional minced oregon pressed
  • 1 spoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 spoon crushed reddish capsicum flakes
  • 1/2 spoon freshly crushed achromatic pepper, positive much arsenic needed
  • 1 lb reddish Swiss chard, leaves torn into bite-size pieces, stems thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cupful adust reddish wine
  • 2 tablespoons caller citrus juice
