Democracy Dies successful Darkness

In this updated mentation of Waldorf salad, the halfway ingredients of apples, walnuts and chickenhearted are inactive present. But the celery is replaced by reddish onion, the mantle of mayonnaise replaced by a mustardy vinaigrette and the leafage of lettuce swapped for bitter greens.

Ingredients

For the salad

  • 5 ounces container mixed greens, Asian greens, spinach oregon mizuna
  • 1 tiny reddish onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tiny apple, thinly sliced
  • About 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 avocados, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons raisins (optional)
  • Cooked chickenhearted (white and/or acheronian meat, astir 1 1/2 cups shredded oregon chopped)

For the vinaigrette

  • 2 tablespoons coarse-grain mustard
  • 6 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons achromatic vino vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, smashed and minced
  • Salt
  • Freshly crushed achromatic pepper
