Here's the classical attack to pesto, made with basil, conifer nuts and Parmigiano-Reggiano.   • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 spoon freshly squeezed citrus juice
  • 3/4 spoon salt
  • 1 spoon achromatic pepper
  • 1/2 cupful olive oil
  • 1/2 cupful grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
