Smoked Baltic sprats, usually canned, are a fashionable snack successful Russia and the Baltic states. The salty, sardinelike food are layered connected acheronian rye breadstuff dispersed with food oregon mayonnaise, topped with onions and served with vodka.

The sprats are disposable astatine Eastern European and Russian market stores.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds cherry oregon grape tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoonful dried mint oregon dried thyme
  • 1 spoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 spoon crushed reddish capsicum flakes
  • 1 spoon airy brownish sugar
  • 12 heavy slices ciabatta bread
  • 1/4 cupful olive oil
  • 1 reddish onion, chopped into quarters, past thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons vodka
  • 14 ounces oregon 15 ounces canned, no-salt-added cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
  • 12 smoked sprats (see headnote)
