  • Scant 1/2 cupful (2 ounces) achromatic sesame seeds
  • One 2-inch-long bottommost of a baguette (2 ounces)
  • Scant 1/2 cupful (2 ounces) roasted, salted peanuts
  • 1/4 cupful (1 ounce) hulled, roasted, salted pumpkin seeds (pepitas)
  • 8 ounces bittersweet cocoa (64 percent cacao), coarsely chopped
  • One 3-inch cinnamon stick
  • 4 ounces airy oregon acheronian brownish sugar
  • 1/2 cupful herb paste
  • 1 tiny achromatic onion, coarsely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, precise thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoonful crushed cumin
  • 1 tablespoonful crushed allspice
  • 1 tablespoonful full achromatic peppercorns
  • 4 cups no-salt-added chickenhearted broth
