The U.S. Army connected Monday identified 2 Iowa National Guard soldiers who were killed successful Palmyra, Syria, implicit the weekend.

Sgt. Edgar Brian Torres Tovar, 25, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Sgt. William Nathaniel Howard, 29, of Marshalltown, Iowa, were killed Saturday portion supporting Operation Inherent Resolve.  

The Army said the incidental remains nether investigation.
